VTuber model commission price ranges
Low, median and high starting prices for six kinds of model order
Each bar runs from the cheapest to the most expensive starting price in the sample; the marker is the median. Sample size on every row.
The bundle beats buying apart
Art plus rigging from one artist has a median of $710 for half body against $810 when the two medians are bought separately, and $1,070 against $1,245 for full body. Price your bundle below the sum and say so.
Rigging is where the spread lives
Full body rigging runs from $88 to $1,600, an 18x spread. What changes is movement: a basic rig tracks the head and eyes, a premium one adds body, arm and leg physics and expression toggles.
Most half body bundles start under $750
Three of four half body bundles start under $750. If your portfolio is strong, the gap between $720 and $1,400 is where a better showcase and clear tiers earn their keep.

| Model artist, sheet dated 2022 | $250 | Expression $10, outfit $70, hairstyle $50 |
The sample comes from sheets that rank in search for these prices, so it leans toward artists who market themselves well. Where an artist lists art and rigging separately with no bundle, the "both" column adds the two. One sheet is dated 2022 and is kept because its add-on prices are still in line with the newer ones.
Add-ons on a VTuber model
What to charge for expressions, outfits and toggles
Base prices in this sample include 2 to 5 expressions. Everything past that is an add-on, and the add-ons are where a model order grows: a VTuber who debuts with one outfit usually comes back for a second one within months.
- Extra expressions, $10 to $40 each. $20 for a simple one and $40 for a complex one on the most detailed sheet; $10 at the entry end.
- Outfits, $20 to $200. From $20 for a simple half body change to $200 for a very complex full body outfit; one sheet charges a flat $70.
- Hairstyles, $30 to $50. Wings, tails and ears $25 to $100 depending on how much they move.
- Commercial use. Three of the eight sheets include it in the base price. If yours does not, write the fee on the sheet.

Where to sell VTuber model commissions
What each place keeps from a $710 model
A US client paying the median half body model, art and rigging, in one payment on VGen and Fiverr and in two 50% payments elsewhere.
| Where | Fee on $710 | You keep | Good at | Weak at |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Two Stripe payment links | $21.20 | $688.80 | Cheapest card option | No order page, no brief, nobody finds you |
| Two PayPal invoices | $25.76 | $684.24 | Clients trust it | Weak in "not as described" disputes |
| Gig page, Studio plan | $42.50 | $667.50 | Tiers, brief and card checkout on one page | $49 a month on top |
| VGen | $56.39 | $653.61 | VTuber clients already browse it | You compete on the same feed |
| Gig page, Starter plan | $78.00 | $632.00 | Low monthly cost at $9 | 8% is a lot on a $710 order |
| Fiverr | $142.00 | $568.00 | Large buyer traffic | 20% of every order, buyer pays a service fee too |
Honest read: on a single $710 model a plain Stripe link keeps the most money, and VGen brings clients who are already shopping for models. A gig page earns its fee when you sell models every month and want the tiers, the references and the deposit in one place, which is why the Studio plan is the one that fits model work. For every way to take the money, see art commission payment methods, and split a large model into a deposit and a balance with the art commission invoice calculator. Questions Live2D artists ask
VTuber model commission questions, answered
Each answer leads with the direct reply. Prices are from the 8 sheets above, fees from the providers' own pages.
How much does it cost to commission a VTuber model?
A custom Live2D VTuber model with art and rigging costs $710 at the median for half body and $1,070 for full body, across 8 artists' published sheets read in October 2026. The range is wide: $191 to $1,400 for half body and $367 to $2,100 for full body, before extra expressions, outfits or toggles.
How much does Live2D rigging cost?
Rigging alone starts at $385 at the median for a half body model and $585 for full body in the same sample. Entry riggers list $44 to $140 for a half body, and specialists with dynamic body and arm physics start at $800 for half body and $1,600 for full body, with top packages from $2,000.
How much should I charge for a VTuber model?
Price from your hours and the market band you sit in. If your portfolio matches the middle of this sample, $425 for half body art and $385 for half body rigging are fair starting points, and $710 for both as a bundle. Add a line for each extra expression ($10 to $40) and outfit ($20 to $200), and raise prices when your queue fills.
Is a VTuber model cheaper if one artist does art and rigging?
Usually, yes. In this sample the art plus rigging bundle has a median of $710 for half body against $810 when the art and rig medians are bought separately, about 12% less. For full body it is $1,070 against $1,245. One artist also avoids a hand-off where the art file is not cut the way the rigger needs.
How long does a VTuber model commission take?
Plan on one to four weeks for rigging alone and longer for a full model. One rigging specialist in this sample quotes 1 week for half body, 2 weeks for full body and 2 to 4 weeks for the top package. Art comes before rigging, so a commission that includes design, art and rigging often runs one to two months.
What is included in a VTuber model commission?
Typically the layered and cut PSD, a transparent PNG, the Live2D model files for tracking software such as VTube Studio, and a few basic expressions. Sheets in this sample include 2 to 5 expressions in the base price. Extra expressions, outfits, hairstyles, props and toggles are priced as add-ons, so list them separately.
Should a VTuber model commission include commercial rights?
Yes, say so on the sheet, because a VTuber streams for money. Three of the eight sheets in this sample state that commercial or streaming use is already included in the price. If yours is not, add a commercial fee as a clear line rather than surprising the client after they have paid the deposit.
How much should I charge for extra VTuber expressions and outfits?
Extra expressions run $10 to $40 each in this sample, with $20 for a simple one and $40 for a complex one on the most detailed sheet. Outfits range from $20 for a simple half body change to $200 for a complex full body outfit, and alternate hairstyles cost $30 to $50.
How much deposit should I take for a VTuber model?
Half up front is the common split for work this size, with the balance due before you send the final model files. On a $710 model paid by two Stripe payment links, the fees come to $21.20 in total. Never release the rigged files before the balance is paid, since they are the whole deliverable.
Where should I sell VTuber model commissions?
Most Live2D artists take orders on VGen, Fiverr or their own page. On a $710 model VGen keeps $56.39 (5% plus processing), Fiverr $142.00 (20%), and two Stripe payment links $21.20. A gig page on our Studio plan keeps $42.50 including card processing, plus $49 a month, and lists your tiers in one place.
