Carrd Pricing and Carrd Pro Plans With the Pro Standard Cost for Freelancers
Carrd is free for 3 sites and $9, $19 or $49 a year on Pro. Tell the calculator what your commission or services page has to do, and it picks the plan and adds what card payments cost over a year of orders.
Per year, entry site count. Read 6 October 2026.
Carrd is a year cheaper as a page. A gig page also lists you in a marketplace where clients search by category, so it pays for itself if that listing brings extra a year at this price. At this volume a gig page on the plan costs no more than Carrd, and it adds a marketplace listing clients can find.
Carrd costs nothing for up to 3 branded sites, then $9, $19 or $49 a year. Pro Lite ($9) only removes the badge. Pro Standard ($19, 10 sites) is the plan most freelancers need, because it is the first with a custom domain, contact forms and Stripe or PayPal buttons. Pro Plus ($49, 25 sites) adds order forms that charge through Stripe Checkout. Carrd takes no cut of sales; the card processor does.
There is no monthly billing. Each plan is paid yearly, either renewing automatically or paid as you go, and a 7-day trial of the Pro features needs no card.

Carrd pricing by site count
Every Carrd plan price per year
The bigger numbers on Carrd's pricing page are the same three plans with more sites, not better plans. A designer who builds pages for clients is the person who needs 50 or 100 sites; a freelancer with one portfolio and one commission sheet fits inside Pro Standard's 10.
Notice the overlap at 25 sites: Pro Lite costs $29, Pro Standard $39 and Pro Plus $49, so the step up to payment forms is $10 a year at that size.
| Sites | Pro Lite | Pro Standard | Pro Plus |
|---|---|---|---|
| 3 | $9 | n/a | n/a |
| 10 | $14 | $19 | n/a |
| 25 | $29 | $39 | $49 |
| 50 | n/a | $69 | $89 |
| 100 | n/a | $119 | $159 |
| 250 | n/a | $249 | $349 |
| 500 | n/a | $399 | $599 |

03 · TAKING PAYMENTS
Which Carrd plan takes payments for commissions and services
Three routes, from cheapest to most capable. None of them adds a Carrd fee; all of them pay the processor.
PayPal or Stripe button
Embed a PayPal Buy, Donate or Subscribe button, or a Stripe button, through the widgets element. One button per price, so a three-tier commission sheet carries three buttons. The brief arrives separately, by email or DM.
$4.65 Stripe or $5.73 PayPal on a $150 order
Order form with Stripe Checkout
A custom form collects the brief, then sends the client to Stripe Checkout before the form submits. The price can be fixed or picked by the client through a field with the ID "amount". This is the only Carrd route where brief and payment arrive together.
$4.65 Stripe on a $150 order
Invoice after the chat
Keep the page as a price list and send a PayPal or Stripe invoice once the client has messaged you. Cheapest on plan cost, slowest to get paid, and the route most commission artists start on.
$5.73 PayPal invoice paid with PayPal
Processing: Stripe 2.9% + $0.30 per US card payment; PayPal Checkout 3.49% + $0.49 on the US merchant schedule of 1 September 2026.
Carrd against a gig page
What a year of $150 commissions costs on Carrd and on our plans
Forty-eight $150 orders a year, $7,200 in sales. Card processing is the same either way, so it is left out of both columns.
| Option | Cost a year | How clients find you | How an order arrives |
|---|---|---|---|
| Carrd Pro Standard | $19 | Only through links you share | Button payment, brief by DM or email |
| Carrd Pro Plus | $49 | Only through links you share | Brief and Stripe payment in one form |
| Gig page, Starter | $630 | Your links plus the marketplace by category | Client picks a tier and sends the brief |
| Gig page, Pro | $474 | Your links plus priority marketplace placement | Client picks a tier and sends the brief |
| Gig page, Studio | $510 | Featured shares, 5 team seats | Client picks a tier and sends the brief |
Gig page rows: yearly plan price plus the marketplace fee on $7,200 (Starter $54 + 8%, Pro $114 + 5%, Studio $294 + 3%).
Your clients already know you
Stay on Carrd. If every order comes from followers who click the link in your bio, nothing beats $19 a year, and we would not tell you otherwise.
You want the brief and payment together
Pro Plus at $49 is the cheapest way to make a client fill in the details before paying. It still sends no one to your page; that part is on you.
You need clients who don't know you yet
A gig page is listed in a marketplace that buyers browse by category, with fixed tiers, scope and delivery time. On Pro it costs about $455 a year more than Carrd Standard at this volume, a little over three $150 orders.
Many freelancers keep both: the Carrd site as the hub in their bio, and a gig page linked from it for the orders. If you are still choosing where your portfolio lives, our comparison of freelance portfolio websites ranks ten options on whether they can take an order, and Linktree pricing covers the other link-in-bio tool freelancers weigh against Carrd. Artists running a commission page should read commission Carrd setups compared with a gig page.
Questions freelancers ask
Carrd pricing questions, answered
Each answer leads with the direct reply, taken from Carrd's own pricing page and documentation.
How much is Carrd Pro?
Carrd Pro costs $9, $19 or $49 a year. Pro Lite at $9 removes the branding on up to 3 sites, Pro Standard at $19 adds custom domains, forms and widgets on 10 sites, and Pro Plus at $49 adds payment forms through Stripe Checkout on 25 sites. Larger site counts cost more on each plan.
Is Carrd free?
Yes. The free Basic plan lets you build and publish up to 3 sites on a carrd.co address, with a Made with Carrd badge. It has no custom domain, no forms and no payment buttons, so a freelancer who wants clients to pay or send a brief from the page needs at least Pro Standard.
Is Carrd Pro worth it?
For a freelancer, Pro Standard at $19 a year is worth it the moment you want your own domain, a contact form or a PayPal or Stripe button, because the free plan has none of them. Pro Lite only removes the branding. Pro Plus is worth it only if you need a custom order form that charges through Stripe Checkout.
Does Carrd take a percentage of sales?
No. Carrd charges only the yearly plan price, and its payment documentation lists no transaction fee of its own. You still pay the processor: Stripe charges 2.9% and $0.30 per US card payment and PayPal Checkout 3.49% and $0.49, so a $150 commission costs $4.65 or $5.73 to collect.
Can you accept payments on Carrd?
Yes, in two ways. Pro Standard lets you embed Stripe and PayPal button widgets, and Pro Plus adds custom forms that send the visitor to Stripe Checkout before the form is submitted, with a fixed price or a variable amount. The free plan and Pro Lite cannot take payments on the page.
Which Carrd plan do I need for a custom domain?
Pro Standard, at $19 a year for 10 sites. Pro Lite does not include custom domains; it only gives you an unbranded premium address such as a .crd.co URL. Carrd adds free SSL to custom domains through Let's Encrypt, and the domain itself is bought separately from a registrar.
Does Carrd have a monthly plan?
No. Every Carrd Pro plan is priced per year, from $9 to $999 depending on the plan and the number of sites. You can let it renew automatically each year or pay as you go, which means paying once and renewing by hand when the year runs out.
Is Carrd Pro a one-time payment?
No, it is a yearly payment. Carrd lets you choose between automatic yearly renewal and pay as you go, so a single payment covers one year of the plan. At $19 for Pro Standard that works out to about $1.58 a month.
Does Carrd have a free trial?
Yes. Carrd offers a 7-day trial of a subset of Pro features with no payment or credit card required, including custom domains, forms, advanced forms with payments and widgets. Trial sites have a 150-element limit. You can upgrade during or after the trial.
